Pskov is one of the Russian oldest and the most historically significant city. It is located 300 kilometers away from St. Petersburg and just 20 kilometers from the Estonian border, Pskov is a perfect city for exploring the ancient Russian culture.

Pskov is exceedingly rich in tiny, squat, picturesque churches, dating mainly from the 15th and the 16th centuries; it still preserves the majority of its medieval walls, built from the 13th century on. The major attraction is the medieval Kremlin. Within its walls rises 78 meters high Trinity Cathedral, founded in 1138 and rebuilt in the 1690s.
