The Federal Passenger Company joins the celebration of the International Chess day

On 20th of July, the JSC "Federal Passenger Company" (an affiliate company of PLC "RZD"), the Russian Chess Federation and magazine "64-Chess Review" will hold a competition on the solution of a chess problem in the long-distance trains.
 
The celebration of the International Chess Day is an annual event and commemorates the establishment of the International Chess Federation (FIDE). The tradition dates back to 1966 when UNESCO proposed this initiative. Though, the FIDE was the organization to actually establish and organize chess events and competitions on this day. The International Chess Federation was founded in 1924th and has 181 federations as its members. The 20th of July is celebrated by 605 million regular chess players globally.
 
On this day, it is possible to receive A4 leaflets from the conductors on board. The responses on the quiz are necessary to return not later than 1st of September 2017 by the email address indicated on the paper. The winners will be awarded the special gifts. Moreover, on 20th of July, on the trains with installed multimedia portal will be available a section with an online Chess play.
