The branch of Russian Railways (RZD), the Federal Passenger Company, on 28th of February have opened sales for e-tickets for the seats for people with special needs, specifically, for people who need access on a wheel-chair.

 

The e-ticket can be booked by people who are using a wheel-chair and their caregivers, who are registered in the Mobility Assistance Center RZD. In order to register person needs to forward the documents to the email address: info@rzd.ru or submit papers through the ticket office. The online registration for e-tickets was opened on 22nd of February.

 

During the registration process, it is necessary to forward the filled blank and the "Individual rehabilitation or habilitation program of the person with disabilities", and for the foreign citizens - the document, approving the necessity of using a wheel-chair, and the translation of the document. The blank can be downloaded in the section "For passengers with disabilities/ Registration in the Mobility Assistance Center" (Пассажирам с ограниченными физическими возможностями/Регистрация в Центре содействия мобильности).

 

The application is being processed within 2 hours, after which, the passenger will receive an individual ID-number of the e-ticket with all requisite details of the ticket and an electronic bill for the online payment.

 

The application for seats closes 48 hours prior to the train's departure from the first station of its journey.
