New Tourist Train on Trans-Siberian Railway

New tourist train from Moscow to Beijing.

There is a new exclusive tourist train scheduled to begin on the Trans-Siberian railway this summer. The new train will travel from Moscow to Beijing along the Trans-Mongolian route, which is one of the longest railroads in the world.

Since this is a specifically tourist train, the level of comfort on the train will be higher than in usual Russian trains. The train will also make many stops along the way for sightseeing and excursions, so the trip will be longer than the usual Trans-Siberian train from Moscow to Beijing.

The first trip on this new train is slated to depart Moscow on August 14th, 2011 and arrive in Beijing on August 26th. Following a two-day excursion in Beijing the train will head back to Moscow on August 28th, arriving back in Moscow on September 15th. The train will be in route for two weeks in order to allow passengers to visit various cities and monuments along their way.

Among the cities to be visit by the passengers on this new train with guided excursions include Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk Ulan-Ude, Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia), and Erlian (China).

In addition, the tour includes an excursion of the Circum-Baikail railroad, which is a famous railway going around Lake Baikal.
