I traveled between Moscow and and St.Petersburg on the 23.55 train. The greeting was warm and friendly,fruit and a toilet bag in the room.The beds were clean and confortable.The breakfast was great and plentiful.Buying tickets with the agency was easy and prompt. I was surprised to find out that even a taxi driver was waiting at the door of our compartment!Thank you for an impeccable service

Russian Rail was easy to buy tickets online. Prices were very reasonable. We bought table seats to sit with friends. There were places to charge electronics, large window, comfortable seats. The dining card had variety of food, snacks, beer, wine,assorted other drinks. The ride was very smooth. Would DEFINITELY use Russian Rail again.

We googled Russian train tickets and we were directed to several sites. We entered our travel requirements and RussianRail.com quoted us £100 cheaper than the next cheapest site. We have travelled this route numerous times so we knew what to expect. Therefore, the price difference was a big factor for us. Payment was easier and e-tickets sent to us within 24 hours of purchase. I have bookmarked this site and will use RussianRail.com for next year's World Cup.

We traveled from Moscow to St. Petersburg on the Sapsan high speed train. Getting tickets and information on Russian Rail was easy. Information is complete and accurate, available in English. Train was pleasant and comfortable, and the whole experience was worry free. If you are planning a similar trip, I would recommend don't bother with the economy+ class that provides a free "meal". It is just a very small cold sandwich and a cookie. Cookie was good. Sandwich was one thin slice of cold chicken and 3 slices of pickle on very soft cold bread. No sauce. No condiments. Not worth it. Buy food in the train station and carry on. Also: free wifi on train is very unstable. Don't count on it. Nevertheless, we would definitely make this trip again. The Sapsan train was otherwise quite modern and nice.

It was my first experience in a train and it was a better experience than I expected. It wasn't a 1st class train, maybe it looked old and all, but it was incredible.

We took a train from Helsinki & St. Petersburg - Moscow round trip. Easy to book online (we did it from Portland, Oregon USA. The service was great, on time and organized. We had print-outs of our tickets from home, but didn't use them as everything was done with our passport.

The comunication was effective. We had an e-mail reply after our questions and inquiries. Unfortunately you cannot know the exact price of the tickets until around 6 weeks before the trip. For us one ticket ended up being cheaper than expected but another one ended up being much more expensive. I went to Russian Rail to book our journey from St Petersburg to Helsinki, having found the Finnish Rail website too confusing. I initially booked online, but the Russian Rail travel agent emailed me personally to check that I had the right date - it turned out that I had booked for the wrong month!! Thanks to the agent, my error was not costly and we had a great trip.

What a fun way to travel between Moscow & St. Petersburg. Recommended by friends, we immediately booked a whole compartment for our family. Kids had lots of fun, super experience. The only thing, for people above 45 like myself, the beds could be a bit softer... Staff was very friendly and it felt like the old Soviet style (in a positive sense). Keep on the good work!

Fantastic experience from start to finish when booking train tickets from Moscow to St Petersburg! Booking was easy - confirmation email received immediately and e-tickets followed soon afterwards. Details on tickets were accurate as was all the other information given. Only e-tickets and passports needed to board the train. I used the service provided by Russian Rails. I used Sapsan Train from Moscow to St. Petersburg and Double decker from St. Petersburg to Moscow. I just can say that all things were great and we were very pleased using Russian Rail. I certainly recommend everybody to use Russian rail. The trains were clean, comfortable and on-time. The overnight train schedule from Moscow to St Petersburg is perfect, departing mid night and arrive at 8am in the morning. The 4 bed compartment is comfortable with lots of storage space for luggage. The beddings are clean and tidy. I had a really good night sleep in the train. There are two toilet in each car. The toilet size is reasonably big. The stewardess is very sincere and nice. Good value for money.

Really our experience with Russian Rail was flawless. Thanks to them I was able to take the train tickets from St. Petersburg to Helsinki, which was impossible from the train page. Excellent after-sales service. We will recommend it to anyone traveling to Russia.

We had a great experience on Russian railway. The online booking was easy and hassle-free. We travelled from Moscow to St Petersburg and back. We had no difficulty at the stations. Moscow to Petersburg travel was on Sapsan and it was beautiful. The return journey was overnight travel and found it very cosy. The trains were very punctual. Overall the experience was great.
