The branded train No. 059 Volga operates on the Nizhny Novgorod – St Petersburg route and made its first trip in 1976. The train was named after the Volga River, the longest river in Europe.
The train has first-class, second-class and third-class carriages. First-class cabins are equipped for two people with 2 lower 70 cm wide sleeping berths and a table. Each passenger in a first-class is allowed to travel with 50 kg of luggage. Second-class cabins are for four people and come with two lower and two upper berths. Third-class carriages do not have any closed cabins and each car can accommodate up to 54 people. Passengers traveling in second and third-class carriages can bring up to 36 kg of luggage with them on board.
