Warsaw to Moscow Train Route

Warsaw to Moscow trains travel through 3 countries - Poland, Belarus, and Russia as they make their way from the capital of Poland to the capital of Russia. They cover a distance of 1316 km in 15-18 hours. All the trains on this route cross Belarus and therefore, you will need a Belarus transit visa for the trip.

At the moment, there are 3 trains operating on the Warsaw to Moscow rail route. The Polonez train runs every day. There are also two faster trains originating from Berlin and Paris. They travel 1-2 times a week. The same trains run on the the Moscow to Warsaw route.

Moscow - Berlin - Paris

The Moscow – Berlin – Paris train covers the distance of 2740 km it 3017 km (depending on direction) and goes through 5 countries: Russia, Belarus, Poland, Germany, and France. This is a fast train with an increased level of service called a "firmenny" train. In 2015, all carriages were replaced with those of the new RIC modification. Three types of carriages are available on this train: VIP 1st class, regular 1st class and 2nd class carriages.

Polonez

Polonez is a fast train operating on the Moscow to Warsaw route. The Polonez train covers 1316 km in 18 hours. Its maximum speed is 200 kmh. 1st and 2nd class cabins are available on the train. On the Moscow - Brest - Moscow leg of the journey the train has a bistro car.

Strizh

The Moscow - Berlin Strizh train runs through 4 countries: Russia, Belarus, Poland, and Germany and covers a distance of 1900 km. The train departs twice a week: on Saturday and Sunday from Moscow and on Sunday and Monday from Berlin. It travels through Smolensk, Orsha, Minsk, Brest, Terespol, Warsaw, Poznan, Rzepin and Frankfurt (Oder). Each train has 20 Carriages.
