Russian Railways developing new trade route between Asia and Europe

Trade between Asian and European countries has been booming in recent years, and is projected to reach $1 trillion by 2020. Due to these rapid increases in trade and high demand from Asian manufactures, Russian Railways is developing a new rail link between Asia and Europe to go through Kazakhstan and Russia.

With radpid development ongoing in the western and central provinces on China, and the government spending lots of money on industry there, a new transport link is in high demand.

The current route taken through the Suez Canal, which services the main trade routes between Asia and Europe, takes twice the amount of time as a new land bridge would take.
