The Train of Innovation
Mobile exhibition on technological innovation housed on train!
A train housing a Rosatom exhibition on technological innovation, including a section on nuclear energy, recently left Moscow to travel around Russia. A special ceremony was held at the Riga railway station in Moscow to mark the departure of a specialized train equipped as an exhibition and lecture complex to demonstrate innovative projects.
The "Train of Innovation," as it is being called, includes eight cars housing exhibits and three cars housing meeting rooms and staff accommodation. Each of the exhibition cars is devoted to an innovative project or to a company to represent its projects.
Four of the cars house exhibits about the history and future development of Russia's railway system, while one of the cars is devoted to Russian state nuclear enterprise Rosatom and its achievements in the field of nuclear technology.
Rosatom's exhibit includes three sections: applications of radiation technology, animatd models of the safety systems used in the last VVER pressurized water reactor models, and radiation safety. Rosatom notes that the display is designed not only for professionals and potential customers of its services and products, but also for anyone with an interest in the development of nuclear technology.
Other exhibitors other than Rosatom and Russian railway operator RZD, participating companies include nanotechnology company Rusnano and electrical company Philips.
The train is scheduled to travel from Moscow to the eastern city of Chita and back, stopping for an average of two days at various towns and cities along the way. Entrance to the exhibition will be free.
