New possibilities for bank card payers on a long-distance trains
JSC "Federal Passenger Company" together with the OJSC "Sberbank" have launched a pilot project - the non-cash payment system for the goods and services on board of the long-distance trains. Over 100 trains have been equipped with the mobile terminals to enable the possibility to purchase goods and services from the train attendants.
The deputy of the general director of the JSC "Federal Passenger Company" Alexander Muslovets has commented that they highly value the cooperation between OJSC "Sberbank" and Sberbank CIB and are grateful for the granted opportunity to suggest their customers the cash free payment options on board. He has highlighted that simplification of the payment system onboard supports the possibility to develop more civilized market. This project is unique due to the fact that cash-free payment service is being suggested for the first time, moreover, it operates both domestically and abroad.
The long-distance trains are another sphere where the new, convenient cash-free payment system is being created for the passengers. From here onwards, passangers do not need to search for an ATM machine before their journey, and without a doubt, this will make their lifes much easier.
