The number of Sapsan train passengers has grown by third

From January to June 2016, approximately 2 millions 130 thousand passengers have used services of Sapsan high-speed trains. The number of passengers has increased by 31.3% compared to the same period of 2015.

In June 2016, Sapsan trains have transported 452 thousands 360 passengers, which is 25% more than in June 2015.

These positive changes in the number of passengers were caused by the increased number of trains operating on the route, flexible price policy, and also the use of joint trains. Currently, according to the schedule, 12 pairs of Sapsan trains are operating on Moscow - St. Petersburg route. 3 pairs of them are joint trains consisting of 20 carriages. During the high season, additional trains are run in order to meet the demand.
